There is nothing quite like New York City in the Springtime! Let's be honest experiencing any season in the big apple is a must! I was so honoured to have the opportunity to photograph Nancy and Peter's downtown New York City wedding this Spring. NYC provides such a diverse range of scenery and surroundings it was hard to choose just one location for their photos. From the character and charm of the cobblestone streets to the wooden boardwalk along the water this was truly a downtown city wedding. Nancy and Peter met online through their common love of running. Their plan for their first date included a run through the city but then turned into hanging out for the entire day in their activewear. They have been running together ever since and are actually doing their first marathon this year in the city. Peter proposed in the same spot they had first met and was unfortunately really sick that whole week leading up to the proposal. Of course part of his plan included going for a run which Nancy was hesitant to do given they were both fighting colds but went along with it anyway, needless to say she was completed shocked when during their run, Peter got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She of course said yes and they started planning their special day in New York. We made sure to include all the spots in the city that have meaning to them. With the ceremony and reception taking place in a beautiful industrial space in Brooklyn, Nancy and Peter wanted to make sure some of their images were captured in Manhattan where they met for the first time. This was truly a wedding to remember with their guests celebrating until the wee hours of the morning. I am so happy I got to capture these memories for them, I hope you enjoy them!
As written by Christine and featured on The Fount Collective: “Life changing is perhaps my best attempt at describing what motherhood means to me so far. No one day has been the same and I continue to be in awe by how much joy little Ava has brought into our lives and the growing love we have for her with each passing day. We were so pleased that we finally decided to have a family photoshoot. I toyed with the idea for months as it took a while to feel comfortable in my post baby frame and nervous about how we would come across handling Ava in front of the camera and someone we have not met before. It turned out to be the best day for us. Kylee Yee is such a talent and was able to make us feel comfortable and capture Ava’s personality perfectly. The images really represent our bond and chemistry as a family together. Now we will always have the beautiful images to remind us of the wonderful memories of that day.” Christine, Mother
Laura & James were quite frankly dream clients. Totally smitten with each other, they were so cute that I half the time all I had to do was let them be and they would end up in the most loved up embraces, not being able to wipe the smiles of their faces. With Laura working in events, I knew that this wedding was also going to be a beautiful one. This talented bride handled all the styling and details herself and the result was just magnificent. With a focus on greenery and botanics executed perfectly by Flowers by Passion, they chose to have their wedding at the gorgeous venue that is Elmore Court in the Cotswolds. It was a beautiful sunny day, added with even more warmth from the deepest love and happiness felt from all their family and friends. This gorgeous wedding was also featured on one of my favourite wedding blogs, Magnolia Rouge. You can see and read more about their love and their wedding plans there too.
