What an honor! Beanie and Gawein’s romantic wedding at Aynhoe Park in the Cotswolds of England has been featured on The Knot! Head on over here to see all of their stunning details.
The Venue
Beanie and Gawein’s traditional ceremony took place at Oxford Church, followed by a tented reception at Aynhoe Park. The venue is a 17th-century countryside estate and served as the perfect setting for their day. Not only is it historic, it’s also impeccably decorated in a quirky, contemporary style. How fun are the statues and the floating giraffe?!
The Decor
As they walked up to the reception tent, guests were welcomed by a Welcome/Welkom sign hung on a bright blue tandem bike, a surprise gift from the bride’s sister. A wicker basket hung from the handlebars, overflowing with pink and white blooms and greenery. Gawein is Dutch, with South African roots, and took great care to tie her heritage into their wedding day details. Pink proteas (also the name of the South African national cricket team) framed each of the different elements of the couple’s bespoke invitation suite and personalized menus at their reception. See the Dutch canal house tea light holders on the tables? They’re a whimsical nod to the place she called home.
Beanie and Gawein, it was an honor to be part of your day!
