I am excited that Joanna and Mark’s intimate Central Park wedding in New York City is being featured on Ruffled! Their day was romantic and full of beautiful portraits in iconic NYC locations. Head on over here to see!
THE COUPLE
Joanna and Mark planned such a meaningful and intimate wedding in Central Park of New York City. Just goes to show that it’s not at all necessary to have an extravagant affair in order to have a beautiful celebration! The couple lives in the UK and had long dreamed of getting married in NYC. They envisioned an intimate ceremony surrounded by just their parents and absolute nearest and dearest. That’s exactly what their special day turned out to be. As an added bonus, the timing of their elopement/wedding happened to line up with New York’s spring blossoms! Joanna and Mark and all of their guests were surrounded by cherry blossoms magically blooming around the entire park.
LANDMARKS
Joanna’s mother-in-law surprised her with a ride to her ceremony in a quintessential Central Park horse and carriage. Just eight special guests stood by and watched as Mark and Joanna committed their lives to each other. They had an incredibly sweet and deeply personal ceremony at the quaint and historic Ladies Pavilion. Following the ceremony, Joanna and Mark took some time to spend a few quiet moments together as new husband and wife. They explored Central Park and then went on to the stunningly iconic New York Public Library, taking portraits all along the way.
RECEPTION
Following their portrait session, they joined their family and friends at the Gallow Green Rooftop for celebratory drinks and dinner. During their reception, they were presented with a cute storm trooper gift as a nod to their popular wedding date – May the 4th. Star Wars Day! May the 4th be with you!!
