It’s really hard to put into words how special it

It’s really hard to put into words how special it was for me to be able to capture these two getting married in NYC. I met Sundari a decade ago when I was living in London and both of us were going through major life changes. Never ever led by fear, she has forged many identities since then from wedding stylist to painter, a stint as my VA responsible for so many of my past features, and now a phenomenal photographer. All the while she’s always been an avid supporter of me as a friend and colleague. Someone who knows both me and my business intimately. So when she asked me to document this, it truly felt like the deepest honor.

It makes me so happy that she has met her match in Mikey - a gem of a human with a heart of gold. They make the most darling couple.

One of my favourite moments from S&M’s wedding at

One of my favourite moments from S&M’s wedding at Wave Hill was the way they chose to walk down the aisle.

Sophie walked halfway with her parents, before meeting her husband-to-be in the middle. After a hug, they continued the rest of the way together.

I remember thinking how beautifully symbolic it felt - surrounded by the people who had walked beside her through life, met by the person she would walk beside for everything still to come.

Such a simple moment, but one that said so much about the two of them. And so beautifully framed by @e_p_h_e_m_e_r_a ‘s stunning florals.

Also a shoutout to @mrclarencechan - always so grateful when I’m lucky to have him on my team.

Some weddings are remembered for the beauty, the entertainment, the spectacle.

This wedding was as heartfelt as it was beautiful and in abundance of both. I’ll always remember this wedding because of the way Sophie & Matt were so completely in each other’s presence when they were together. Full attention, intention and a love that is palpable. They never stop laughing together, and for me, that’s one of the strongest indicators for a marriage that will last the distance.

Congrats Sophie & Matt - it was an honor to witness and capture your love.
